Singapore Trip Part 2

My relative decided to bring us to a nearby shopping complex in Bedok to have lunch. When I arrived there at a food court named “Food Junction”, it’s only 12.30pm and what I see is hundreds of people already there having their meal. It’s like there isn’t any place for us to seat. I salute to them. They can even place their packets of tissue as a sign of “Place reserved”.

Packed with people.

My relative told me this is Singaporean’s way of getting a seat. You will be scolded if you take their table (if the tables have packets of tissue or umbrella). Here’s an example photo taken in one of the food court.

Place reserved. Lol XD

After my meal, as usual, I went for a walk around the shopping complex and I encounter a Chinese checkers board game. Then, when I looked closely it’s a mooncake.

You will get a shock about the price of the Chinese checkers shaped mooncake.

Yes, it’s S$78. Which is equivalent to RM187.20. (S$78 X RM2.40 =RM 187.20)

o.O Eating gold.

The best Durian and Curry Puff is here.

That’s the most expensive mooncake I ever encounter in my whole life. I got to say people in Singapore are RICH. Many people even bought 2 sets of these mooncakes. No wonder almost every car I seen in Singapore are at least higher class than a Toyota Vios model car.

Those people who bought a Proton car or a Perodua car (which is Malaysian made car are considered the cheapest in their country) in Singapore are considered a lower income person. Here’s a photo of some owner who owns a Proton GEN 2.

Rarely seen one of these cars in Singapore.

I took a couple of pictures when I was on my way back from the complex. This is the same structure and design like our very own “Eye of Malaysia”. In Singapore, this is called “London Eye”. Copycat.

London Eye?

Why not Singapore Eye?
Too Singaporean? Kiasu?

End of Day 2. Continue in Part 3

Singapore Trip Part 1

Last week, I and my parent went to Singapore to visit some of my relative there. Since I come from a poor family, therefore I can't afford to take a flight which cost me a lot. So I took our very own public transport to Singapore, which is KTM Malaysia! And yes, it’s the least expensive kind of transportation and also one of the more torturing kinds of transportation. Why? It's because the time you be expecting to reach Singapore is around 8-9 hours or even more.

It’s because there is only one lane for the train for the whole journey. So there will be some delays in between the whole journey in order to let the other train from the other direction to pass by at some station.

To my surprise, there is a 32 inch LCD TV. I thought the person in charge will turn it on and let us watch some movies but until the whole journey the freaking expensive LCD TV was there for “Display Only”. The workers didn’t even turn on for God sake. Maybe it’s just to show that KTM Malaysia did some improvement on their facilities? Think again.

Wow! 32 inch LCD TV. Don't be too happy with it.

This photo tells you a thousand words.

Why not use the money to repair this?!

Why spend almost more than RM20K( example RM2K for an LCD TV, there are 5 coaches, each coach there are 2 LCD TVs. Haven’t plus the money for the DVD players too!) for those

LCD TV’s where the TV’s are just meant for hanging there without even turned on? Those money should be channeled to improve the interior and seats rather than to show that KTM are filthy rich on improving their TV’s.

Arrived at Woodlands Check Point around 9.30pm

The whole journey from KL Sentral to Singapore took me around 8 hours suffering there without any sort of entertainment. Then, at 10pm sharp, I was happily being informed that I arrived at Singapore’s Railway Station.

Yes! Singapore's Railway Station.

My relative waited there for our arrival. Then she took us to Jai Lei food court for a meal. No Satay Mee Hon! =.=” But there is fried prawn mee. Which is so different compared to our Malaysian version of Prawn Mee. Then I and my parent arrived at my relative house at Bedok Reservoir View at 11pm. End of Day One.

Food court.

Fried Prawn Mee.

Bedok Reservoir View, that's where

my relatives are staying.

Going to Temasik

Almost 3 years haven't been to Singapore. Here's my chance to redeem it.

There's nothing to blog about Singapore. The typical Singaporean is Kiasu or Kiasi.

Places? Nah...a example picture of one of a place in Singapore.

Esplanade, Theatres on the Bay

Food? You got lots of kinds of food just like Malaysia. I remembered eating Satay Mee Hon there. Hope I can get a chance to eat again. Will blog more about it once I am back from Singapore.

I will be suffering almost 11-12 hours depending on the KTM arriving time and departing time. Plus, the time you expecting lots of delays. No TV, no PC, no entertainment at all!

Dying slowly until reached Singapore. ><
