Grandma's 80th Birthday.

Yesterday, my grandma a.k.a grandmother's celebrated her 80th Birthday. So, we celebrated her birthday on a 5 star hotel nearby the TV3/8TV Sri Pentas, nearby 1 Utama.

The grand birthday dinner was held in One World Hotel. Which is a 5 start hotel. Don't play play.

Well, its normal to wear formal cloths when you attend a dinner at a 5 star hotel. So far I had only 3 formal cloths. Orange, green and blue. So for this time I choosed blue. No other colour to choose other than green.

Well, this formal wear seems OK to me.
So, took a picture.

After being dressed neatly it's time to take a picture with the "Queen" of the day, my lovely grandma.

My grandma besides me.
Does she look like 80 years old?

We headed to One World Hotel at 7 pm sharp. It's not my first time attending these kinds of dinner. Unlike my favourite blog reader Ning posting the "big assed" room, chandeliers, pianos, shining marble and etc. It's sound he doesn't even been to a 5 star hotel. Here you can refer to his blog post.

Just skip this boring part, once I entered the Chinese Restaurant, all our relatives are waiting in the room for us. In that room itself, have 3 tables. All of my grandma's relative comes from different places. But mostly from KL and some from Singapore.

1st table.

2nd table. This where I being seated
with bunch of my cousin's best friends.

3rd table. Grandma's sisters and brothers.

It's great for her to reunite with her sisters and brothers and celebrate her 80th birthday.

Grandma with her sisters and brothers.

Later, while waited for almost half and hour for the food to arrive, I snapped a photo of a unique table decorative cutlery set.

Nicely decorated.

Oh yes. The best part of having dinner at 5 star hotel is I get to drink! During the Pulau Redang trip, I only get to drink Shandy. Now, it's my time to drink the red-wine that my aunt purchased. Time for me to get drunk.

My 1st cup.

3 years old red-wine.

Once the first dishes arrived on top of our dining table, everyone that is looked dead are alive once they saw the appetiser dish. Not only me looked alive even my uncle, aunt and everyone seated around me looked alive! Our empty stomach makes us feel like it's the end of the world. Once the appearance of the 1st dish, we feel like is the beginning of the world.

Look, everyone's face expression changed
once the 1st dish was served.

After we had finished our 3rd dishes, I and my cousin Berlin will be giving out a short speech for our beloved grandma. She will be speaking in English, while I will be translating in Hokkien and Chinese version. It turn out to be the worst MC of my life. Even my grandma's 3rd sister is a better MC than me. I feel so......No comment. Then, someone said my grandma looked 18 years old and I said: "No, she ain't looked 18, at least she looked 40." Then my aunt says me "Killjoy"!

Birthday cake.

Later is the cutting cake section. As always, we sang a birthday song of English and Chinese version. Then, blowing and cutting the cake.

Grandma's blowing and cutting the cake.
Then, its time for us to continue eating. I salute my cousin, Berlin who can manged to finish almost 5-6 cups of red-wine. She managed to finished almost a whole bottle of red-wine and still can't get drunk.

Wow Berlin! You sure is an alcoholic.
But you are drinking an empty bottle of red-wine.

I only managed to drink 4-5 cups of red-wine and started drunk. Unlike our Redang trip, some will go topless running around the beach, some even it's drunk doesn't want to admit they are drunk and some just pop on the bed and sleep.

Me and my 2 hot and sexy cousins.

As for me, my cousins and their best friends, we all gathered in the same spot inside of the Restaurant taking pictures of our drunk face or our emo expression.

Emo expression of us. Almost everyone is drunk.
Except for the person on the most right side.

I found out there was stars around the chandelier.

The coolest gang of friends.

Lastly, we had desserts for the last part of the meal. And I laugh out loud.

At far, you won't noticed something.

But at near, you noticed its a genetic
disorder tadpole or anything you
could imagine.

Nah, Berlin, I can see you are having a hard time finishing the last sip of red-wine. At 10.30pm sharp, we head back to our respective houses. It's truely a day to remember my grandma's 80th birthday. Having lots of fun and also meeting new friends!

I can see you are having your toughest times
to finish that sip of red-wine.

Last group pictures of grandma
with her relatives.

That's all from me. ~Peace~

Food price!

Due to the recent fuel price hike, food price is the first to raised. In Subang Jaya and USJ region, if there isn't any price hike on food price, you would be laughing your jaw off. Subang Jaya = Rich people staying.

Well, in reality there is one place that the food price wasn't even raised since the past years. Even though the recent fuel price hike, they still insist on their traditional price. This is great news for the resident of SS3 Petaling Jaya.

The only place where you can get cheap foods are in SS2 and SS3. These two places are famous for their cheap and yet affordable foods.

My grandparents lives in Petaling Jaya SS3. So every weekend I will go and visit them and stay a night there.

One thing good about staying in my grandparents house is that there won't be a vocabulary "hungry" when you stay my grandparents house. My grandmother will make sure your breakfast, lunch and dinner filled with homemade delicious food.

That's why if I stay there for at least 1 week, I will grow as fat as a pig. Well, this week, I got to learn cooking from my grandmother.

P/S: Note to Ning, at least I can cooking noodle already. Hahaha.

At least, I get to cook my very own handmade noodles. By the way, it looks good and it's taste good too!

Looks good, taste good too!

The next morning, I went to one of the nearby coffee shop around my grandparent's house for breakfast.

Roti canai for RM0.80? Roti Planta for RM1.10?
Roti Telur for RM1.40?

I ordered a Western set which cost me only RM3.50! I was so happy to be paying that amount of money since err..I was 15 years old until now!

This is the coffee shop I went this morning.

And even the tea I ordered only cost RM1.10(which was raised by only RM0.10 due to the recent fuel price hike). Well I don't really blame them on doing this. Unlike Asia Cafe, they raised their fricking teas and coffees by RM0.30 the moment the fuel price hike was announced by the government! It's seems the coffeeshop owners are running on gasoline stations. Super effective on raising their beverage prices.

For RM3.50 for the breakfast set and also the tea for RM1.10.
You can't get anywhere cheaper than this!

Cheap yet a lot!

The only people who are suffering from this is the consumer. Those people in the food industry are making more and more money once there is a fuel price hike or even their raw material's. price hike.

Due to that, my wallet's cash are burning away just like that. Therefore, I should had reduce my intake of "yam cha" with my fellow classmates in order to save some cash for my own survival.

I had been thinking this for a while, what if we human have the ability to make our own food just like the plants do photosynthesis? Haha...we could just stand under a hot sun and food will be produce in our body. You no need to spend money on food and you could produce your own food while standing under a sun. I had think too far already.

So to save your spendings on food, just eat at home la. Solve the problem.

Pulau Redang Trip 3 days 2 nights

Yes! I am finally back from Pulau Redang. After having the most enjoyable trip with my fellow classmates PE7 and PE8 it's time now for me to write something about the whole 3 days 2 nights trip in Pulau Redang. By the way, if you want to view more photos you can go to this link and browse it yourself. I will upload certain photos that are available in my Public Photo Gallery site.

Day 1: This is the most tired day during the whole process of getting from Subang Jaya to Putra Bus Sation and from Putra Bus Station we had so sit in a bus for 8 hours straight!

Buying tickets to KL Sentral

But Thanks to the driver who drove extremely fast and reaches Terengganu bus station in 4.30am (If I am not mistaken). And most importantly Thank God for not getting us involved in a serious bus accident with that speed.

Rest house waiting for van to bring us to jetty

Then, what's next? Obviosuly we are too tired to do anything but to sleep at the rest house which is owned by the Redang Pelangi Resort.

Jetty waiting for speed boat to bring us to Pulau Redang.

We waited there until 7 a.m. until the resort's van come and pick us to the jetty. From there, we took a speed boat to reach Pulau Redang.

Say: "Cheese, Redang here I come! "

Beautiful view Pulau Redang!

Friends!

Redang Pelangi Snorkeling Centre.

Dive Centre

Canteen where our source of food comes from here!

Beautiful night view.

Day 2: This day is snorkeling day. Most of the time is spend on snorkeling. There is 2 session. One is at the morning the other one is during the afternoon section. Here's some pictures taken at the underwater sea of Pulau Redang.

Me.

Me feeding the fishes.

Still got the energy. Let's go for second round of snorkeling!

Off to Pulau Redand!

I had been waiting for this day to go Redang. Will update my blog once I am back from Redang. Can't wait to go Redang!

Finally, it's over.

Yes, it's finally over. The whole 1 and 1/2 years studying in Taylor's University College just ended today as today is my last day stepping in and stepping out of Taylor's University College.

Throughout the whole A Level course, I had meet wonderful friends, bittersweet moments, and not forgetting the course that teaches us to be more independent, more analytical for us to enter the real university life which is the most suffering( I guess...) times.

We often said, after graduation, we can still contact each other. But in reality it doesn't seems to happen.

This happens when during the second semester of me studying in college, I was suppose to be planning a trip with my fellow secondary ex-classmates (5 Bakti in SMK USJ 13). At the end, I can say almost all of them didn't respond to my invitation.

Often many of them said too busy with exams, assignments, and all those crap that is happening in their respective colleges or universities. Well, you can't really get along again with your old friends when you don't even know when is their best time to go for trip or just mainly a gathering.

You can only get along with your current classmates or college mates where most of the stuff happening in class or college. It's a sad thing but in reality this happens.

Even I had few of my best friends in secondary school where I used to hang out with them during their holidays while I was having exams in college, now had neither no news from them or when they are online(usually MSN) you dunno what topic to start a conversation with them. You end up saying :" Hi, bye, good luck in your studies, etc"

Well, life has to go on. You will need to get used to new environment and meeting new bunch of friends.

Graduating from Taylor University College did really leave me many memories that I won't forget for the rest of my entire life.

Firstly, I would like to Thank all my lecturers that had guided me throughout the whole A Level course. First lecturer that I would like to thank is Miss Jackie Yeoh who teaches us Thinking Skills(by the way she had a lot of thinking skills...haha lame -_-""). She is a wonderful lecturer that is easily approach and one of the best lecturers among all lecturers that I meet.

Secondly, I would like to thank Miss Nor which had teaches us Chemistry throughout 1 and 1/2 years. I hope she will get well soon after she had a health problem recently.

Thirdly, I would like to thank Mr.John and Mr.Karamjeet where both lecturers thought us Mathematics.

Next, I would like to thank our Physics teacher, Mr.Adnanthan who guided us on Physics.

Lastly but not forgetting Miss Yap who was there for us when Miss Nor on MC although she was teaching us for a mere 2 weeks.

Not forgetting a BIG Thank You to my classmates PE7 and PE8 who was there when I need help in studies and also keeping the class active and fun all the time. Had a great time studying with you guys.

By the way, this coming Sunday trip to Pulau Redang (3days 2night) is the very last time we can meet each other before everyone pursuit their degree in respective universities. Will updating this blog after come back from the Redang trip.

P/s: It's not that I don't want to post any pictures in this post but I don't have a camera phone for now! Besides, I ran out of ideas taking any photos related to this post. Just bear with the wordy blog post for now. Later you will see tons of photos taken in Redang trip. That I can assure you readers.

Unrelated post: (1E37/13E7/1337--> actually I don't know what is this meaning loh. Care to let me know?)

Too bad it's not 1337.

Is it what is meant by this?-> "i t0tally pnwed u. u r so a n00b and i am so 1337"( Sorry for the unrelated post)

Friends Forever. Friendship Never Ends! ~Peace~

Everyone hates CIE!

What is wrong with CIE? Why Cambridge International Examinations? Should be named as Celaka, Cibai, Chaokanina, Chiput, Cacat International Examinations.

Here's the proof. I bet the whole A Level students this year(Jan 07 intake) screwed up partially their Maths 3 that's including me.

Underline ones are people who screwed up their Maths 3

I urge my readers especially the junior who is going to enroll any Pre-University courses not to choose A Levels. Do A Levels suffering, wasting another 6 months and no life!

Do SAM(South Australia Matriculation or AUSMAT) which is only 1 year course compared to A Levels which is 18 months.

SAM got life, A Level no life and no A's! ~Peace~

Petrol Havoc

Lately today, the government announced the price hike for gasoline.

New Price Old Price
RON97 Petrol RM2.70 per liter RM1.92 per liter
RON92 Petrol RM2.62 per liter RM1.88 per liter
Diesel RM2.58 per liter RM1.58 per liter

Quoted from paultan.org

It had raised to RM0.78 cents per litre of gasoline. So, I decided to try my luck to pump my mom's car petrol to full. It turn out to be the worst havoc ever.

Maybe this had a almost 40% increase in gasoline price. So, a lot of "kiasu" people rush their way to pump their petrol to full before midnight where the price of gasoline is RM2.70 per litre.

I can't even turn to left. Petronas station.

Wow! That's was expensive. Give an example a car which has 35 litres of fuel tank. Based on the old price=(RM1.92 X 35 litres = RM67.20)

Based on the new price=(RM2.70 X 35 litres =RM94.50)

Cars obstructing the lanes going out!

That's an increase of RM27.30 for the old price compared to the new price which will be effective in another 1 hour ++

So, this would cause a massive traffic jam especially there is 2 gasoline stations side by side nearby my house.

At the end, I just managed to snap some photos after waiting for 30 minutes plus and give up waiting.

Give up after waited for 30 minutes.
Can't even go in neither Petronas nor Shell Station.

Petrol price hike, food price hike. Next electricity, water, car price hike? ~Peace~
